On March 7, CCCC’s Malaysia East Coast Rail Line Project held the third commanders’ meeting. Sun Ziyu – CCCC Vice President and the project commander attended the meeting and gave an important speech. Nearly 90 people, including Chen Zhong – Executive Deputy Commander of the Project, Sun Liqiang – Deputy Commander of the Project, Tang Qiaoliang – Deputy Commander of the Project and President of CHEC, relevant responsible people of the project command post, members of the project general manager department’s group and responsible people of various departments, representatives of the design and geological exploration units and responsible people of various branches, were present at the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Executive Deputy Commander Chen Zhong.
Bai Yinzhan – Deputy Commander of the Project gave a comprehensive report focusing on four aspects – overall work arrangement in 2018, project overall work progress, existing difficulties and problems and key work plan in the next stage, and mainly stated the project design technology management, construction production, project comprehensive management, risk prevention and control and fulfillment of social responsibility. The representatives of the design and geological exploration units and branches made a position statement in combination with their current working conditions.
Mr. Sun Ziyu affirmed the efforts Malaysia East Coast Rail Line Project General Manager Department and the branches and survey and design units made to promote the project on the whole. He stressed that since Malaysia East Coast Rail Line Project is a flagship project under the “Belt and Road” Initiative, all the units must pay more attention to it, assume responsibilities and form a good construction atmosphere of contesting, learning, catching, helping and surpassing in the whole line of the project as soon as possible. As for the following work, he put forward four requirements: firstly, deepen the understanding further and conduct strategic consideration, strategic deployment and strategic implementation. Carry out the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the CPC, guide the construction of Malaysia East Coast Rail Line Project with Xi Jinping’s thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era. Secondly, make steady progress, speed up step by step, strengthen the domestic support and trinity, improve the system construction and jointly promote the successful implementation of the project. Thirdly, be target-led and problem oriented, take powerful measures, and make result predictable and realizable. The general manager department should make full coordination, integrate into the local place, integrate the resources, closely grasp the survey and design work, actively create conditions and do the work deeply, meticulously and thoroughly. Fourthly, expound politics in the political projects, enhance the stand, increase the input and learn from each other, strengthen the media publicity plan and display the “good voice” of Malaysia East Coast Rail Line Project.
