On April 3, the first cross-expressway continuous beam of the CCCC ECRL Project was completed.
This continuous beam is a part of No. 1 Mega Bridge across FT34 Expressway of CCCC ECRL Project Section 1, with a total length of about 145m and a total of 39 block sections, and it is a critical control project with the largest span in Section 1. The main pier of the 64m-long continuous beam is adjacent to FT34 Expressway with heavy local traffic. As a result, the procedures for reporting for approval of the road traffic organization at the spanning site were cumbersome; the safety was difficult to control and the construction conditions were complicated. In order to ensure the smooth completion of continuous beam, the project construction team has maintained good communication with the local government and surrounding residents since the commencement of 64m-long continuous beam, and ensured the traffic safety of the expressway during the construction by adding height-limiting gantry on the expressway and implementing road closure at night during the demolition of hanging basket. At the same time, the team has constantly optimized the construction process and personnel allocation to achieve 12 days/block section in the hanging basket construction and orderly construction progress. In addition, the project department planned ahead, organized several special meetings, and made a disclosure of the construction to the operators layer by layer. Moreover, it was equipped with a special inspection team, which conducted checklist inspection on the construction process and embedded parts, to ensure the construction was of good quality internally and beautiful externally. Finally, after 266 days, the closure was completed with zero accidents, high quality and high efficiency.
The smooth closure of the 64m-long continuous beam successfully release the key sticking point in Section B of No.1 Mega Bridge, providing a strong guarantee for winning the championship in the labor competition of ”6 Competitions, 6 Creations · Three-type First-class Cup”. In the follow-up projects, the department will continue to work hard to ensure the realization of the annual node target as scheduled.
