On March 11, reports of new victories in tunnel construction of the ECRL project came. Bentong Tunnel 1 (Tunnel 4#), Temiang Tunnel 1 (Tunnel 12#), Temiang Tunnel 2 (Tunnel 13#) realized breakthrough on the same day. As of that day, 9 of the 11 conventional tunnels built by ECRL Section 7 have been completed.

The three tunnels completed this time are double-line single-hole tunnels. Bentong Tunnel 1 is 561m long; Temiang Tunnel 1 is 270m long, all designed to be of IV- and V-class surrounding rocks; Temiang Tunnel 2 is 477m long, with IV- and V-class surrounding rocks account for 55%. During the tunnel construction, the project department has strictly followed the principles of “forepoling, strict grouting, short excavation, weak blasting, strong support, early closure, and regular measurement”, and carried out the construction in strict accordance with the design scheme. By ensuring the allocation of resources, optimizing the connection of processes, and improving the incentive of teams, the tunnels were completed in advance.

In the next step, the ECRL project will continue to emphasize unity, dedication, hard work hard and innovation be based on its position, strictly implement the concept of program first, continually strengthen safety and quality control, comprehensively improve the project management quality and efficiency, and promote the implementation of the remaining works in an orderly manner according to the node while monitoring the progress of key works, so as to resolutely win the battle of the project in 2024.
