On December 20, the CCCC ECRL project successfully completed the pouring work of the last concrete area of the Kota Baru Station’s platform, 90 days ahead of schedule, marking the smooth capping of the main concrete structure of the Kota Baru Station.

Kota Baru Station is the starting station of the East Coast Rail Link and one of the two largest stations along the line, with a total built-up area of 13,230m2. As the first of the 20 stations started first in the ECRL project, the main concrete structure of Kota Baru Station was completed ahead of schedule, providing valuable experience for the implementation of subsequent stations.

Since its commencement, the Division 12 of the project has made scientific organization and rational plans, and constructed several key lines in parallel. At the same time, it made full use of P6 planning software to clarify the critical paths, evaluate the efficiency, comprehensively coordinate the “human, material and machine” resources in each construction area, and completed most of the construction tasks before the rainy season to avoid the situation where construction cannot be carried out during the rainy season. Meanwhile, the Division has organized daily inspections and leadership inspections for many times to strictly control the construction quality on the site and consolidate the safety line.

The ECRL project will continue to promote the follow-up steel structure, curtain wall and mechanical and electrical work of Kota Baru station, conscientiously implement the 2024 production plan, and ensure the completion of the tasks and objectives in a safe and orderly manner with quality and quantity guaranteed.
