On September 20, the General Manager Department of ECRL organized the meeting of promoting initial track-laying of the project’s trackwork. 41 people, including the leadership team of the General Manager Department and personnel of all relevant departments and divisions attended the meeting.
At the meeting, the attendees heard the report on the construction of the track-laying base, the progress of the initial track-laying area, and the production and supply of materials, and the leadership team of the General Manager Department made a summary of the meeting and deployed the specific work for the next step. In order to ensure the smooth progress of the initial track-laying, it was decided that a leading group for the initial track-laying of the ECRL Trackwork should be set up at the meeting. The project general manager Kong Qi serves as the leader, and the project deputy general manager Liu Jianming serves as the executive deputy leader. Under the leading group, there will be four implementation groups, including project implementation group, design and technology group, equipment and material group, ceremony preparation group, and the leaders responsible for specific duties serve as the leaders of these implementation groups. Besides, at the meeting, the follow-up work of each implementation group was deployed in detail, and it was required that all divisions and departments should carefully organize the preparatory work with the initial track-laying ceremony in early December as the time node, make every effort to implement the work, and work together for the smooth implementation of the initial track-laying and the continuous operation of the follow-up track-laying. Finally, the meeting affirmed and thanked the relevant departments and divisions for their responsibility and tenacious struggling spirit.
The ECRL trackwork covers the main tracks, station tracks and branch lines, with a length of about 782km. It is the first track-laying project of CCCG where it welds 500m-long steel rails by itself, the first overseas 500m-long single-sleeper continuous rail rectilinear laying project, the first long trunk rail-laying project with a length of more than 600km and the longest overseas one-time rail laying project of CCCG. Trackwork is a key process of the project from offline to online, and is one of the most important milestone nodes of ECRL. At present, the construction of the track-laying base of the project, the construction of the offline initial track-laying area, the preparation of equipment and materials and the design of technical documents are smoothly advanced.
