Recently, the General Manager Department of the ECRL Project and the China Academy of Railway Sciences Corporation Limited (“CARS”) held an equipment procurement award ceremony for ECRL’s signal system at the General Manager Department. This tender integrated a total of 6 systems, including the centralized traffic control system, computer interlocking system, train operation control system, microcomputer monitoring system, transponder and track circuit. Major domestic railway signal system equipment suppliers were invited to participate in the bidding, and finally CARS won the bid with obvious technical and business advantages as well as perfect integrated supporting and service capabilities. This tender has also become another model for ECRL project to play the scale advantage and optimize the allocation of resources. Kong Qi – Vice President of CHEC and General Manager of the ECRL project, Deng Bo – Full-time Vice President of CHEC, Deputy General Manager and Chief Engineer of the project, Li Guangming – Chief Financial Officer, relevant personnel of General Manager Department Office, Business Contract Department, Public Relations Department, Chief Engineer’s Office, Technical Equipment and Operation and Maintenance Department, Materials and Equipment Department, as well as Ma Jianjun – Vice President of CARS, the relevant responsible persons of the development department, consulting companies and the Signal & Communication Research Institute attended the award ceremony.
As the only multi-disciplinary and multi-professional comprehensive research institution in China’s rail transit industry, CARS has been committed to the relevant research work in the field of railway communication signals since its establishment in the 1950s. Its “advanced, mature, economic, safe and reliable” signal technologies and equipment have been widely used in China. At the same time, as a major signal system equipment supplier of China-Laos Railway, it has accumulated rich overseas project implementation experience.
At the award ceremony, Kong Qi first expressed his congratulations on the successful holding of the award ceremony, and expressed his thanks CARS for its strong support to the General Manager Department in the preliminary works. For the follow-up work of the CARS, he put forward five hopes: Firstly, to improve the degree of ideological attention, give full play to its own strength, and fight side by side with the General Manager Department to jointly create the “Belt and Road” flagship project. Secondly, to give full play to the advantages of resource integration, strengthen overall planning and coordination, optimize the allocation of resources, and achieve cost reduction and efficiency. Thirdly, to provide high-quality products to ensure the safety of railway operation. Fourthly, to strengthen after-sales service. Fifthly, taking this signing as an opportunity, to achieve broader prospects for cooperation between the two sides.
Ma Jianjun expressed his thanks the CHEC and General Manager Department of ECRL for their trust and support to CARS.
