Hong Kong Business and Professional Youth Delegation for the Belt and Road Countries Goes to ECRL Project for Discussion and Exchanges

On July 27, the Hong Kong Business and Professional Youth Delegation for the Belt and Road Countries visited the General Manager Department of the CCCC ECRL project, and the two sides launched a fruitful discussion and exchange at the General Manager Department of the project. Lin Haoyi, Lu Hanmin and Deng Haokang – heads of the delegation, Kong Qi – Vice President of CHEC and General Manager of ECRL Project, and Ye Xiaoyang – Deputy General Manager of the Project were present.

At the beginning of the discussion, Kong Qi expressed welcome to the arrival of the delegation and gave a detailed introduction to the background, objectives, planning and progress of the ECRL project. The delegation praised the positive contributions made by the ECRL project to improving transportation convenience and promoting regional economic development, and also deeply admired the outstanding achievements and high-level engineering technology of CCCC in the field of railway transportation in Malaysia.

Subsequently, the members of the two sides had in-depth exchanges on such topics as technological innovation, sustainable development, operation and maintenance, and project cooperation of the ECRL project. The atmosphere was harmonious and active, and the two sides communicated well with each other, forming a good atmosphere of communication and showing the great attention and serious attitude to this discussion.

The fruitful discussion and exchanges not only enabled the young people of Hong Kong to have a deeper understanding of the concept of interconnectivity, extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits embodied in the “Belt and Road” Initiative, but also aroused the awareness of the young people of both sides to actively participate in the globalization process and make contributions to the implementation of the “Belt and Road” Initiative. The two sides jointly look forward to the future. Hong Kong and the mainland will continue to jointly promote the implementation of the “Belt and Road” Initiative, promote the interregional common prosperity and development and create a better future.
